長期以來，鹽田港區(qū)陸域后方的通關(guān)問題一直是物流企業(yè)的痛點(diǎn)從2017年初開始，鹽田港集團(tuán)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)就專程帶隊(duì)前往海關(guān)總署，對鹽田港區(qū)陸域后方的通關(guān)問題進(jìn)行協(xié)調(diào)，其中就包括鹽綜保鹽田片區(qū)南閘口試行24小時(shí)通關(guān)的內(nèi)容，并積極向?qū)俚刂鞴懿块T深圳海關(guān)和梅沙海關(guān)（原鹽綜保海關(guān)）遞交實(shí)施鹽田片區(qū)南閘口24小時(shí)通關(guān)的申請報(bào)告，均得到了各級海關(guān)的正面回應(yīng)
深圳海關(guān)積極為企業(yè)排憂解難，在編制實(shí)施計(jì)劃時(shí)綜合考慮因開放閘口涉及到的人員編制和設(shè)施改造等問題，克服重重困難，最終順利實(shí)施了24小時(shí)通關(guān)新舉措新舉措實(shí)施后，最受益的是生產(chǎn)和貿(mào)易型出口企業(yè)，倉租、壓車壓柜等成本得到一定程度降低

據(jù)不完全統(tǒng)計(jì)，鹽田片區(qū)南閘口24小時(shí)通關(guān)功能實(shí)施后，在每天所延長的通關(guān)時(shí)間內(nèi)至少有30條柜自動驗(yàn)放出閘這一舉措不僅滿足了華南地區(qū)經(jīng)鹽田港出口商品的疏港需求，減輕了鹽田港區(qū)后方陸域貨車擁堵壓力；同時(shí)滿足了部分香港門店配送業(yè)務(wù)的及時(shí)性，進(jìn)一步緩解香港目前面臨的物流倉庫緊缺的現(xiàn)狀；進(jìn)而推動了深港兩地跨境物流產(chǎn)業(yè)的聯(lián)動發(fā)展，提升了鹽田片區(qū)企業(yè)的綜合競爭力，為鹽田港區(qū)后方陸域物流產(chǎn)業(yè)的轉(zhuǎn)型升級提供了更加便利的基礎(chǔ)條件
