據(jù)悉，東作業(yè)區(qū)項目包括一期工程、聯(lián)絡通道工程、配套工程、支持系統(tǒng)工程4個子工程，總投資估算約144.9億元，一期工程將新建3個20萬噸級自動化集裝箱泊位，岸線長1470米，碼頭前沿水深-18.0米，陸域總面積120萬m2，設計年吞吐能力為300萬標準箱
項目計劃配備空箱堆場、口岸設施、工作船基地和海洋產(chǎn)業(yè)基地，遠期規(guī)劃建設疏港鐵路，同時大力推進數(shù)字化碼頭建設，將以自動化碼頭建設為契機，打造東作業(yè)區(qū)建設成為全球最佳、世界一流的智慧綠色集裝箱碼頭東作業(yè)區(qū)項目的建設將進一步提升鹽田港區(qū)多艘超大型船舶同時靠泊的服務能力，提升航線密度，增強現(xiàn)代航運業(yè)綜合服務能力，鞏固鹽田港華南地區(qū)主樞紐港和深圳港全球集裝箱干線港地位，也將進一步優(yōu)化粵港澳大灣區(qū)港口群的布局，增強深圳國際航運綜合服務功能，增強深圳港的國際競爭力，成為深圳建設全球海洋中心城市、發(fā)展海洋經(jīng)濟的重要平臺和先鋒力量
