7月23日，鹽田港區(qū)迎來(lái)目前全球最大運(yùn)載量的集裝箱船—“地中海·古爾松”號(hào)首航該輪全長(zhǎng)400米、寬62米，可裝載23756個(gè)標(biāo)箱，總噸位230000噸，是當(dāng)下全球航運(yùn)市場(chǎng)最大的集裝箱船舶“地中海·古爾松”號(hào)服務(wù)于亞歐航線，全程航行約36天

鹽田港區(qū)是該輪在中國(guó)首航的最后一個(gè)掛靠港，隨后將經(jīng)馬來(lái)西亞帕拉帕斯港駛往歐洲“地中海·古爾松”號(hào)在鹽田港區(qū)靠泊期間，全程使用岸電，共裝卸約4200標(biāo)箱據(jù)悉，“地中海·古爾松”是地中海航運(yùn)訂購(gòu)的11艘23000標(biāo)箱級(jí)船舶中交付的第一艘，其他10艘同等級(jí)的超大型船舶也將會(huì)陸續(xù)投入使用
