襄陽新港公司由鹽田港港航發(fā)展(湖北)有限公司與襄陽交通建設(shè)投資有限責(zé)任公司合資成立襄陽港是長江中游航運(yùn)中心的重要組成部分，其中，小河港區(qū)、唐白河港區(qū)作為襄陽港核心港區(qū)，是未來服務(wù)襄陽市以及周邊地區(qū)大宗貨物運(yùn)輸和集裝箱運(yùn)輸?shù)闹匾锪骷⒅行?/p>
項目建成后，小河港區(qū)通過能力預(yù)計達(dá)到1510萬噸，唐白河港區(qū)規(guī)劃通過能力達(dá)到550萬噸，其中最大集裝箱通過能力將達(dá)到55萬TEU儀式上，孫波、王陽紅、郄英才先后致辭并表示，在省港航局大力支持下，襄陽市政府與鹽田港集團(tuán)將以建設(shè)漢江流域中心城市和全國綜合交通樞紐為契機(jī)，發(fā)揮鹽田港在品牌及資金、技術(shù)及資源、管理及運(yùn)營等方面全產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈優(yōu)勢，共同將襄陽新港打造成為漢江最大的內(nèi)河樞紐港
